．Anyone Can Cook -- Ratatouille－Cheers Claire．華麗的冒險

PIXAR 又來了!

這次他們還是沒讓我失望，
平凡的故事卻可以帶給我很大的感動。

帶著淚水爆笑出聲，
這就是 PIXAR 的作品。

Anyone can cook, 是貫穿整片的經典句，
可是真的每個人都能作菜嗎？我不認為。
男主角就沒辦法阿，他甚至連一隻老鼠的廚藝都不如。

我倒覺得這片子的中心思想是 : 認同自己。

雖然 Remy 知道自己的 talent. 但他畢竟還是老鼠，
以人類的角度來說：老鼠是進不了廚房的!!
所以在片中一開始 Remy 認為自己沒辦法真正變成大廚 -- 那只是夢想而已.

Remy 的內心掙扎就像常常會畫地自限的人們。

"我能作到嗎？" 這麼問，即使內心有著無比強烈的企圖心..
"我不行吧？！" 然後限制自己.. "這是給其他更有能力的人作的"..

Anyone one can cook,
或著說.. you can do everything u want..

你絕對有能力作任何事，
最重要的是信心。

不過片中除了 Remy 自己，牠老爸也是主要的夢想阻力.

總跟牠說: 不要接近人類，你太天真了..

環境的確會帶給你很大的影響，
但如果能傾聽自己內心的聲音，你就會清楚自己要的是什麼。

這一幕是在 Remy 跟家人失散後，
第一次發現原來自己一直住在心中的夢想之都 -- 巴黎.
" Paris?? All this time I've been underneath Paris? " ..

如果我們不試著去追尋夢想，
永遠也不會知道它離我們有多近。

不會下廚的男主角..

在最後高潮的時候一人身兼多職的擔任餐廳服務生(因為其他員工都氣忿的離去)，
展現了完全不同於他切菜時一般遲疑的溜冰技巧，
我感到十分驚訝，也就是說他根本不需要執著於鑽研廚藝，
但他肯定會是一個很好的服務生(笑)..

同樣再次呼應了 Anyone can cook 的 implication ..

另外這片名也取的妙，
"Ratatouille" 其實是法國的一道家常菜名，
Remy 在最後就是靠這道菜成功的讓嚴格的食評家落下眼淚..

有趣的是..
"Ratatouille" 的前三個字母暗示了本片主角 -- Rat.

不過話說回來 ratatouille 看起還真好吃耶，
有我喜歡的 zucchini 哦.. (流口水ing)

食評家 Anton Ego 在最後說出的那一段話，
個人認為是整部電影的精華，
因為我看的是沒字幕的，所以回家後特別找了一下那一段話的原文:

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up theirwork and their selves to our judgment.

We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new.

Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.

It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's,who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.
